Valleyboy Publishing, LLC publishes valleyboy.io. This page says what the site stores, what it loads from others, and what you can switch off.

What we store in your browser

Your display mode and language are kept in your browser's local storage. A first-party cookie, vb_prefs, keeps a coarse topic preference built from the sections you read, so the site can pick relevant ads without tracking you across other sites. Nothing in it identifies you, and clearing your cookies removes it.

Advertising

Article pages show ads served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com.

Other services the pages load

Comment threads are read from the public Bluesky API. Fonts come from Google Fonts. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure.
